39 #StopAsianHate — Sharing Stories, Speaking Up and Taking A Stand!
“Representation matters, breaking down stereotypes matters, how you report the news matters, speaking up matters, and standing against hate matters!” – Angela Chee
How can we use our power of The Only to combat racism and hatred?
Anti-Asian incidents are on the rise. In the last year alone, the United States reported about 3,800 anti-Asian hate incidents, with 2.3 times more incidents involving Asian women. Now we are grappling with the shootings in Atlanta this past week which left eight people dead — six of whom were Asian women.
As an Asian American woman, these events deeply sadden me. I believe it is paramount at times like this to continue to share our stories, speak up, and take a stand for the things we believe in.

I also talk about the Asian American experience in the United States and why it is so important to keep telling our stories.
