Keynote Speaker / Moderator / Emcee

I’m passionate about sharing stories and inspiring others as a keynote speaker, group/panel moderator, and emcee. I started speaking at 15, when I traveled the country as the first Asian American “Miss California National Teenager.”  Now I continue to present inspirational and transformative keynotes and corporate trainings for Fortune 500 companies, universities, and professional associations on topics related to women’s empowerment, communication, diversity and media.

My calling is to help people become YOU, Amplified!™- to own their power and their voice, break through their barriers, step into their leadership and live their legacy.

As a keynote speaker and former TV news anchor and reporter, I know what it’s like to be in the spotlight, but I also know what’s it’s like to struggle to find your voice and break through barriers. As a shy Asian girl raised by immigrant parents, I was taught to not rock the boat and to play it safe. While I broke through many of those barriers, my parents did not. They lost their voices…. so I could find mine.

Their sacrifice is my privilege and I will not take that gift for granted.

It’s time for all of us to step into the gifts that we were given.

If you’d like me to share my message and speak at your event, I’d love to hear from you.

Emcee and Event/Panel Moderator – As a professional emcee and panel moderator I can help you showcase your brand and highlight key figures in your organization. I can bring out the event’s message and mission—and make your organization/company stand out from the competition.

“Angela provided us with a flawlessly smooth, insightful and entertaining program. We had many wonderful comments about how interactive, relatable and approachable she was to the
audience and the staff loved working with her. She definitely brings her celebrity touch to our events.”
– June Durr, Office of the Mayor The City of San Bernardino

Keynote Speaker – I can customize presentations to serve the needs of your company and organization, but here are a few of my topics:

“Breaking Through Barriers and Living Your Legacy”

By sharing my story of breaking through barriers and stereotypes and reinvention, I show people how to break through the glass ceiling in both their professional and personal lives.  Success is not just about achieving your goals, but getting clear on what matters to you, sharing your gifts, and living your legacy.

“Breaking Barriers and Redefining Leadership”

Creating real change in your organization and our world, isn’t just about empowering women, it’s about redefining business leadership and creating an inclusive space where both men and women feel safe to talk and shift the collective conversation and culture.

“Breaking Through Cultural Barriers And Stereotypes”

Cultural differences and stereotypes can have a major impact on who we are, how we act, and how we lead-both consciously and subconsciously. Some see this as an obstacle, but I believe these differences can empower us rather than hold us back from our full potential.

The Power Of  “The Only”

Some say being “the only” (woman in the room) is not only stressful, but can have a negative impact. But I believe being “The Only” can be empowering. I share my story of challenging stereotypes and carving my own path. Being the only is not a burden, it’s an opportunity to shift the conversation and culture. I show audiences how to own their power of being “The Only” and create change in their organizations and the world.

“Media Momentum™-From Pitch To Interview: Getting More Media Exposure For You and Your Brand”

Workshop/Break Out Session Facilitator-I can lead your group through interactive and engaging group workshops to complement my keynote topics related to Media, Diversity, and Women’s Empowerment.

“Breaking Through Barriers and Embracing Feminine Leadership”

“YOU, Amplified!™-Own Your Power and Your Voice!-7 Steps To Confidence, Clarity and Connection”

“Master The Media and Your On-Camera Presence”

Angela is an exceptional speaker.  Her personality and energy are great. Her professionalism in her preparation and presenting was thoughtful and audience specific.  We had a difficult group to please and had extremely positive feedback about her keynote and session.  She was a motivational kick off for the rest of the day.  Our audience not only enjoyed her story, but she opened everyone up to have more meaningful and connecting conversations. We look forward to seeing her again soon!”
– Kim Lanham, “Break The Glass”-Executive Women’s Summit

“We were so grateful for Angela’s talk at Urban Rebound LA. She was inspiring, clear, cogent and generous with her wisdom and information. She helped us see how the qualities of Zen can guide us in our approach to life and business. Her generosity is matchless and we look forward to seeing the ways in which she makes a difference in the world.”
– Isisiara Bey, Count Me In For Women’s Economic Independence

“Angela is a dynamic, inspirational and fun speaker.  She drew in our audience and they were inspired by her presence. In fact, the most frequent response I heard was “Wow!” Angela is just amazing.  She has created a strong brand identity for herself and I know she can do the same for others.”
– Karen Myers, Associate Professor and UCSB American Marketing Association Advisor

“I knew I would get concrete tips and skills, but I didn’t know how deep and insightful Angela’s training would be. I feel like it’s going to take me to the next level, not just in my presentations, but my leadership, my business, my personal life and give me more clarity and connection. I’m deeply grateful and appreciative.”
