Angela started speaking at 15, when she traveled the country as the first Asian American “Miss California National Teenager.” Now she continues to present inspirational and transformative keynotes and corporate trainings for Fortune 500 companies, universities, and professional associations on topics related to leadership, women’s empowerment, communication, diversity and media.

As a former TV news anchor and reporter, she knows what it’s like to be in the spotlight, but Angela also knows what’s it’s like to struggle to find her voice and break through barriers. As a shy Asian girl raised by immigrant parents, she was taught to not rock the boat and to play it safe. She is passionate about making a difference and connects deeply with her audience. Angela understands their needs and fears and gives them real world insights and tools to amplify their voices and power leaving them energized, motivated and inspired.

With over 20 years of experience as a TV news anchor, reporter, and host, Angela now empowers leaders to own their voice and step into their leadership. Through one-on-one coaching, group workshops, and online programs, she helps clients break through barriers, and become YOU, Amplified!®—clear, confident, connected, and ready for any opportunity, on-camera and off.
Angela’s career includes working with top TV stations such as KCBS-TV and KNBC-TV in Los Angeles, and Fox 6 and KNSD-TV in San Diego. She has hosted shows for major networks like E! Entertainment and HGTV and helped launch Entertainment Tonight China. As a media expert, she has appeared as the mentor on Lifetime’s “The Pop Game” and featured on programs like The Today Show, and appeared in films like Blades of Glory, and TV shows such as Heroes.
Her speaking career began at just 15, when she became the first Asian American woman to win the title of Miss California National Teenager.
