The Power Of Connection

I love the connection that technology can bring, but nothing compares to real face to face conversation! This is me with Irma Blanco, a veteran Los Angeles Radio Host and Sarah Dykema of Purpose Life Homes. They interviewed me for their podcast, Purpose Life Podcast, but didn’t do it virtually. They came all the way down from Los Angeles to my house in San Diego.

Irma and I knew of each other from my LA news days, we ran into each other years ago in my The Zen Mom blogging days and reconnected through social media. I was honored when she asked me to be on her podcast and even more surprised when she said she wanted to do it in person. I love that and I made the time. We had a wonderful morning of conversation sharing stories from our media days to family, motherhood and reconnecting to our purpose.

I don’t do many podcasts, but I make time for those that make the time. In this age of overload and more more more I’ve been staying true to myself. While I do keep up with everything and follow the trends, I don’t do all of them. I’m really about connection, that’s why I still love my one on one VIP days. I believe technology has given us so many gifts, but there’s also something to be said about going back to basics and real human connection. That’s where I see the trend of live events, talking to people on the phone, and real conversation and connection.
